Maintenance Caretaker

£26,298 – 27,682 per annum

40 hours per week

Sanctuary Students are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated Maintenance Caretaker to work at our Murano St Student Village in Glasgow.

The ideal candidate will have recent experience working in a caretaking role, including completing maintenance and compliance tasks within an accommodation setting. Working in a small team, you will be responsible for providing a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for student residents. Some lone working will be required.

The role of Maintenance Caretaker includes:

• Reacting to maintenance duties across the site, undertaking repairs, and reporting issues requiring specialist attention.
• Undertaking building checks and audits to maintain a safe and secure environment in line with health and safety requirements.
• Carrying out routine works and providing accurate and timely information on progress.
• Maintaining an adequate supply of stock and replenishing as appropriate.
• Ensuring waste is disposed of correctly and cleanliness is maintained.

Skills and experiences:

• Experience within a caretaking or cleaning role is essential.
• Practical skills in identifying and/or carrying out standard repairs.
• Working knowledge of health and safety.
• Good communication skills allowing you to provide great customer service.
• The ability to assess priorities and plan work effectively.
