JOIN THE TASTE.

Do you love pizza, and would you like to be part of the team that makes the UK's favourite frozen branded pizza? Do you thrive on getting things done and making real change? Then carry-on reading!

Why join Dr. Oetker?

At Dr. Oetker UK we are continuously investing to maintain our state-of-the-art production facility. All our teams contribute to the success of our business, and we are as proud of our hard-working friendly culture as we are of the fantastic market leading pizzas we make. Being a family-owned business we "Create a taste of home" through our quality products and our culture.

What's the role?

The Leyland Facility is where the Chicago Town Pizzas started over 30 years ago. We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our state-of-the-art production facility and play a key role working alongside our teams who are proudly making the Dr. Oetker and Chicago Town branded pizzas.

A Career At Dr Oetker Will Provide You With

  • An environment where you will be an integral member of the Maintenance Team, being responsible for all aspects of Automation within the department - including Continuous Improvement Automation initiatives, fine-tuning/tweaking Automation and control aspects to optimise processes, and assisting with fault-finding and corrective actions on complex problems. Good communication and teamwork with all stakeholders from shop-floor to Director level is paramount.
  • The opportunity to work with, and support where necessary, with the International Digitalisation and Automation Team in Leyland on key strategic Automation projects so that you can "own" them when they have been rolled out.
  • A role where you will also work closely with the Capital Investment Project Teams in order to stay up to date with new equipment being procured and installed - and be the source of expertise in the Maintenance Department to resolve complex problems in order to make the visions of our "future factory" a sustainable reality.

As a key member of the Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for ensuring optimum availability levels (from an Automation perspective) are sustained on all pieces of all equipment and processes.

Who are we looking for?

At Dr Oetker we believe that our employees play a key role in our success. To be successful in this role, you must have a thorough understanding of electrical control and automation principles and philosophies - and be able to confidently carry out complex fault finding and resolve problems under pressure in a live production environment.

A confident communicator with a personable and professional manner, you will have the ability to interact and relate to all levels of colleagues and to build strong trusted working relationships within all departments.

The ability to work within a rapidly changing environment is key, as is the ability to work (and stay calm) under pressure while making improvements or finding and fixing complex problems in a timely manner.

You will have Automation Maintenance experience in a FMCG environment - particularly being able to quickly grasp automation concepts/philosophies on multiple different pieces of equipment and processes - in order to make improvements or fix complex problems if/when equipment fails.

You must have knowledge and experience of working with Siemens PLC's, HMIs, analogue and digital control systems and instrumentation.
