A leading healthcare organization in Wales is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to perform a variety of site maintenance tasks. Responsibilities include external repairs, machinery operation, and assisting building maintenance craftsmen. The ideal candidate should have experience in healthcare property maintenance. Operational Estates are looking for an enthusiastic Maintenance Assistant - Building and Grounds, who will be based at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd Hospital, but can expect to work at any of our community sites.
To undertake a diverse range of tasks across a variety of disciplines as applicable for a particular site, including:
You may also be asked to provide assistance to building maintenance craftsmen to enable them to fully carry out their duties.
You will have gained previous experience to enable you to carry out the maintenance on healthcare properties, including Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, Community Hospitals, health centres and clinics throughout BCUHB central.
Annual leave allowance is 28 days on appointment and up to 5 years service, 30 days after 5 and 10 years service and 34 days over 10 years service plus 8 Bank Holidays (pro rata for part-time staff).
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
