Job description

We are looking for a skilled and reliable maintenance person to ensure the smooth operation of our hotel. The ideal candidate will have experience in building maintenance, compliance testing, and planned preventative maintenance (PPM).

  • £25,709 (depending on experience)
  • Full time permanent position – 40 hours, including weekends and emergency call out (enhancement payable)
Responsibilities
  • General Building Maintenance: Carry out routine repairs and upkeep, including basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Compliance Testing: Perform regular safety and compliance checks on equipment and installations, adhering to legal standards.
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Follow a maintenance schedule to prevent breakdowns and keep facilities in excellent condition.
  • Emergency Repairs: Respond quickly to maintenance emergencies and guest service requests.
  • Guest Support: Address minor in-room maintenance issues reported by guests, ensuring timely and courteous service.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain logs of all maintenance work, compliance checks, and safety inspections.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in building maintenance, ideally within a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Skills in basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Knowledge of gardening and grounds maintenance.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and compliance regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends.
