Job Opportunity: Maintenance Assistant in Monmouth

Join our team at The Recruitment Co as a Maintenance Assistant based in Monmouth. This is a temporary to permanent position offering a salary of £28,782 per annum, working 45 hours a week from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Role Overview: Support the Maintenance Manager in general maintenance tasks at our Head Office and Showrooms. The role involves working on showroom refurbishments and new store fitouts, which may require travel and overnight stays depending on project locations.

Key Duties:

  1. Perform general repairs and building work, including carpentry, minor plumbing, decoration, and other tasks to maintain internal and external areas.
  2. Participate in showroom refurbishments, including rip-out work.
  3. Carry out finishing tasks such as painting and decorating.
  4. Ensure high standards of repairs and maintenance across multiple trades.
  5. Use various tools and equipment efficiently to complete tasks.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Versatile with strong practical skills in carpentry and plumbing.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to different environments.
  • Capable of working autonomously, in small teams, or alone.
