Keane Premier Healthcare are seeking a proactive Maintenance Assistant to join our team, providing essential support across our care home group.

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for ensuring that sites are maintained to the highest standards, performing routine maintenance tasks, minor repairs, and addressing any issues that arise promptly to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on the facility's infrastructure and equipment.
  • Conduct safety inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents.
  • Highly organised with accurate maintenance records via digital platforms.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to residents and their families.
  • Be knowledgeable and confident in carrying out various areas of maintenance work.
  • Identifying hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair.
  • Identify, document and report maintenance issues.
  • To ensure full compliance with all Legal Legislation- Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Agreed Codes and Working Practises.
  • Daily, Weekly and Monthly Auditing with Corrective Action Planning.
  • Immediately report issues or failures that impact on legal legislation or service level.
  • Liaising with Care Home Manager and Contractors.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst completing tasks within specified time limits and to a high standard.
  • Meet your targets and contribute to those of the team as a whole.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience of digital records and maintenance software applications
  • Must have driving license and be able to drive.
  • Professional qualifications along with previous experience of working in a care setting is desirable.
  • Resident transport via Care Home Minibus.
