Job summary

Beaudesert Park School, part of the Rugby School Group, is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join the Estates Team. You will be responsible for school maintenance, with a focus on painting inside and out, plus gutter and roof clearance, including Work at Height.

Training and equipment are provided, with a 40-hour week and paid through the hourly rate. Occasional grounds support and event setup are required, along with teamwork with the Estates staff.

Job description

Reporting to the Estates Manager, and with day-to-day supervision and assistance from the Maintenance Lead, the Maintenance Assistant is responsible for the provision of maintenance at the school as part of a team and for maintaining and promoting a safe working environment.

The role will have a particular focus on painting work, both inside and outside, and as well as gutter and roof clearance, including Work at Height. Full training and all equipment will be provided.

The Maintenance Assistant will be required to help in the grounds on occasion, be an active and supportive member of the whole of the Estates Team including grounds staff, and help with some furniture moving and set up for school events.

Beaudesert Park School, part of the Rugby School Group, is set in 30 acres on Minchinhampton Common, Gloucestershire. It is one of the county's leading independent co-educational day & flexi boarding schools for children aged 3 to 13.

Hours: 40 hours per week

Working Pattern: 8:00am to 4:30pm with half an hour unpaid lunch break. Limited Saturday morning work on a rota in term time only, with time given back in lieu

Hourly Rate: up to £13.82 per hour, dependent on experience
