Job summary

Platinum Recruitment Consultancy seeks a Maintenance Assistant for a luxury country hotel in Bridport. This hands-on role covers maintenance, facilities and site operations, ensuring the site stays operational and presented to a high standard.

You will work as part of the Facilities team, carrying out repairs, decorating, servicing and safety checks while coordinating with contractors. Evening and weekend shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in building, maintenance or related trade.
• Physically able and proactive.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Flexible for evenings and weekends.
• Own transport preferred due to rural location.

Responsibilities

• Keep the site operational, safe and presented to a high standard.
• Carry out internal and external repairs, decoration, maintenance and servicing as required.
• Replace consumables (bulbs, batteries) and maintain records of maintenance and Health & Safety requirements.
• Support upkeep of roads, tracks, buildings and wider site facilities.
• Use and maintain equipment, machinery and tools safely and properly.
• Liaise with approved contractors and coordinate third-party maintenance and projects.

Are you technically minded, practical and someone who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly? This is an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Assistant to join a luxury country hotel in Bridport, helping to maintain the buildings, equipment, grounds and facilities to an exceptionally high standard.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are necessarily the same. You'll work as part of the Facilities team, responding to maintenance requirements and helping ensure the hotel remains fully operational for guests and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• As Maintenance Assistant, you'll help keep the whole site operational, safe and presented to a high standard.

• Flexible and able to work evenings, weekends and during busy operational periods.

Due to the rural location, your own transport is essential. The role is based in Bridport and includes evening and weekend working.
