This scheme is aimed at highly motivated individuals eager to be part of a world leader in aerospace and defence. Based at our Collins Aerospace Composite Center of Excellence in Banbury, UK, the role involves supporting maintenance and facilities to ensure a top experience for employees and visitors, while installing and maintaining complex manufacturing equipment. We aim to innovate in flight technology to make skies and space safer and smarter.
Our apprenticeship offers career progression in Maintenance and Facilities, mentorship, and development opportunities. You will be responsible for maintaining the site’s infrastructure and manufacturing equipment, ensuring business needs are met across various metrics. Success requires organization, attention to detail, passion for engineering, and excellent communication skills.
The first year includes training at Engineering Trust in Bicester, focusing on basic engineering skills. Following this, practical on-site training will be provided by skilled engineers. The 4-year program culminates in Level 2 and Level 3 competencies and an apprenticeship qualification, covering skills such as understanding technical documentation, system diagnosis, repairs, modifications, and root cause analysis.
Applications will be reviewed via various selection methods, ending with an assessment centre. Early application is advised as opportunities are filled quickly. The apprenticeship begins in September 2025. Eligibility to work in the UK and security vetting may be required for military-related projects.
