Overview

Maintenance and Repairs Officer – ACH Refugee Integration Services Provider

We are looking for a Maintenance and Repairs Officer to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Ensure our accommodation is safe, secure and well-maintained for our tenants.
  • Undertake repairs and inspections of occupied and vacant properties to ensure they are fully functional and health and safety compliant.
  • Carry out a range of multi-skilled repairs and maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, grounds, decorating, and general upkeep.
  • Conduct regular visits to properties, prepare condition reports, identify maintenance needs, maintain accurate records and monitor tenant safety.
  • Respond to issues and tenant requests, handle emergency situations, and undertake urgent mechanical and electrical repairs, kitchen equipment, or other services.
  • Work alongside the Housing Officer and Housing Administrator; ensure work is carried out efficiently and within timescales.
  • Undertake general maintenance tasks across ACH properties and offices.
  • Support the aim of improving the quality of housing and wellbeing for people building new lives in the UK.
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience in a similar role or a qualification in one aspect of maintenance (e.g., plumbing or gardening).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and availability to work full-time (37.5 hours per week).
