Job description

Job Title: Maintenance and Lubrication Technician

Working Hours/Shift Pattern: 40 hours weekly (Standard hours). Overtime available.

Our client is a technology-driven and specialist industrial services provider offering engineering solutions and technical services across various industries. Their Scarborough site is recruiting for a Maintenance and Lubrication Engineer on a Temp to Perm basis.

With over branches across the UK and Ireland, they provide excellent service to stakeholders and operate in 20 countries, adding value for industrial customers worldwide. Over 80 years, they have fostered an entrepreneurial spirit through passion, expertise, and innovation to improve industry efficiency.

Daily responsibilities include maintenance and repair of machines to ensure optimal operation, including changing oil, filters, and tire rotation.

About the role:

  • Lubricate bearings, spray chains, fill oil bots using predefined assets.
  • Apply lubricants to rotating elements.
  • Follow routes sent via an iPad, working on predefined routes.
  • Manage weekly stock take, update systems, and ensure sufficient stock levels.
  • Implement lubrication techniques to optimize regimes.
  • Perform first-line maintenance, assess issues, and escalate when necessary.
  • Liaise with clients regarding lubrication issues.
  • Carry out repairs and modifications as needed in a safe manner.
  • Assist in lubrication training for operational personnel.
  • Report asset defects and enter notifications into the client's ERP system.

About You:

  • Knowledge of Tribology and lubricant methodologies.
  • Experience with rotating equipment and ability to support training.
  • Technical apprenticeship, A-level, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent qualification.
