Hexcel is currently seeking a Maintenance and Facilities Manager for our Leicester, UK location.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

  • Lead the engineering and maintenance department, ensuring safety and compliance.
  • Drive improvements in safety, quality, and equipment uptime across maintenance.
  • Manage labor, spare parts, and CAPEX budgets.
  • Review and approve new equipment designs and modifications.
  • Oversee work orders and preventive maintenance for quality and completeness.
  • Use reports and statistics to plan and adjust maintenance activities.
  • Train and empower staff on performance, safety, and company policies.
  • Manage site facilities, including contractor coordination and cost control.
  • Ensure buildings and equipment meet health, safety, and legal standards.
  • Plan and manage building projects and central services like cleaning and waste.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant Engineering degree or equivalent qualification, with professional accreditation
  • Relevant level of experience in facilities and maintenance management within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong demonstrable Project management skills
  • Technical knowledge of building services and ability to manage a varied and complex workload
  • Organised, and able to demonstrate attention to detail as well as big picture, with ability to problem solve and work independently
  • Time Management skills to enable efficiency in a fast paced role
  • Excellent budget management skills with the ability to efficiently control costs and to make decisions quickly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with a positive attitude and ability to work across multiple departments at all levels.
  • Able to collaborate with others and create and sustain positive working relationships
  • Good level of computer skills
