A leading charity dedicated to providing excellent care is seeking a Maintenance and Compliance Technician. You will ensure the care home environment is safe and compliant, performing routine maintenance and compliance checks. This role is vital in enhancing the lives of older individuals through a well-maintained and secure home, contributing positively to the community.
Contract Type: Permanent - Full Time
Work Pattern:Monday to Friday with occasional evening and weekend work asrequired.
Hours: 40 hours per week

We are recruiting for aMaintenance and Compliance Technicianto join the team.
Joining us as aMaintenance and Compliance Technician, you will be working as part of a dedicated teamto ensure the care home environment is safe, well-maintained, functional, and legally compliant, with particular attention to the needs of residents, including those living with dementia.
The role involves performing regular compliance checks andmaintainingappropriate records, routinemaintenanceand repairs, tomaintaina safe and comfortable environment that supports residents’ wellbeing ensuring the home meets Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards.
We are looking for an excellent team player withexperience in caretaking and / ormaintainingolder buildingsalong with building tradeand property repair / maintenance skills. You will also hold relevant qualifications (e.g. Health & Safety, Legionella awareness, Pat Testing, Asbestos Awareness).
You will have an awareness of statutory compliance responsibilities and Health & Safety along with experience liaising with and overseeing contractors to ensure adequate resources and planning.You will also need to have basic knowledge and proven experience of plumbing,electricsand general building maintenance.
With good record keeping and communication skills (written and verbal),you’llhave experience in using Microsoft Office applications and Microsoft 365 tools.You’llbe able to work on your own initiative, prioritising works and organising your own time and workload effectively.
