The role

To deliver high quality Maintenance /Instruction on specific Military diving equipment in line with Company standards and contractual requirements.

Main duties will include:

  • Continually improve the way they contribute to the business
  • Ensure that they are best equipped to support future change
  • Work collaboratively with MoD staff, displaying appropriate behaviours.
  • Champion and foster a culture of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Perform any other duties required to complete the Training Equipment Service.
  • Maintain equipment to standards laid down in the Planned Maintenance Schedules (PMS), record maintenance carried out, and report defects.
  • Be responsible for the replacement, issue, storage, return and defect repair on all equipment within their area of responsibility.
  • Instruct maintenance in accordance with relevant Instructional Specifications.
  • Assist Lead Instructor in updating training documentation related to equipment maintenance.
  • Instruct courses as directed by Lead Instructor.
  • Gain and maintain technical and instructional qualifications as directed by Line Management.
  • Be custodian of Articles in Use account and maintain it in accordance with latest instructions.
  • Deliver briefings to staff or trainees as required by Line Management.
  • Ensure maintenance of all Team Fisher (DDS) Training Equipment is carried out to meet performance standards.
  • Record implementation of equipment maintenance to ensure performance is maintained.
  • Ensure compliance with Company health, safety and environmental procedures.

Essential:

  • Extensive experience in servicing mechanical/electrical equipment in a marine and/or military environment.
  • Experience in fault finding, diagnosing and repairing mechanical or electrical equipment.
  • Maintenance of Diving Equipment or similar Safety to Life Equipment.

Desirable:

  • Level 3 Teaching Qualification.
  • ECDL or equivalent demonstrable proficiency in using IT (hardware/software) within the workplace.
