Qualifications

  • Time-served apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance (or equivalent).
  • Strong fault-finding ability across both mechanical and electrical disciplines.
  • Knowledge of plant control systems, including PLCs (advantageous).
  • Computer literate with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communicator, able to work independently and as part of a team.

Overview

Maintenance Engineer — Teesside | Permanent | Competitive Salary + Shift Allowance + Overtime | 2 Days / 2 Nights / 4 Off Rotation

We are working exclusively with a leading international manufacturer of precision-engineered components, supplying into highly regulated sectors including petrochemical, power generation, and renewables. With a reputation for quality, rapid delivery, and customer focus, the company is continuing to invest in its people and facilities. They are now seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to strengthen their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career within a world-class engineering environment.

Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of plant and equipment across the site.
  • Responding swiftly to both planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
  • Diagnosing and resolving faults across electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Carrying out electrical installation work where required.
  • Using data and systems to manage site electrical and control systems.
  • Liaising with contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams to maintain smooth operations.
  • Working safely at all times, following risk assessments and HSE procedures.
Skills & Experience
  • Time-served apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance (or equivalent).
  • Strong fault-finding ability across both mechanical and electrical disciplines.
  • Knowledge of plant control systems, including PLCs (advantageous).
