Job description

Are you an experienced primary school Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) seeking a new and exciting opportunity for immediate start in Bristol (BS11)?

Do you hold the HLTA qualification or have a similar qualification? Perhaps you don't hold the HLTA qualification but are experienced in working as a HLTA?

Would you like the opportunity to work in a mainstream primary school, to utilise your skills and experience in assisting the progress of students?

• Start ASAP
• Full-time, Monday - Friday 8.30am to 4pm
• Term time only
• Bristol - BS11

About the HLTA role

• Lead and cover lessons from Reception to Year 6
• Production of lesson plans and resources to support groups/classes of children
• Working effectively with individual pupils, small groups, and whole classes. Providing support for learning and social and emotional development of children
• Record progress and achievement in lessons and activities, to provide constructive feedback on pupil progress/achievement
• Acting as a role model, promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils within the classroom
• Encourage pupils to interact and work co-operatively with others

What we need from you

• Maths and English GCSE grade A*-C / 9-4 or equivalent
• Higher Level Teaching Assistant Qualification
• Experience of working with young people, particularly those with ASD diagnosis
• Confident to converse with parents, students, and members of the public
