Overview

Mains Water Engineer

Location: Glasgow

Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 (DOE)

Hours of work: Monday to Friday with the occasional weekend with the option of overtime.

The Role:

Responsibilities

• Predominantly site-based work across the UK, finding leaks on external supply pipes and making recommendations for repairs.
• Deliver exceptional problem-solving in the field.
• Communicate clearly with customers to explain work and ensure a positive experience.

Qualifications

• Experience with CCTV surveying equipment and generating detailed Reports to WRC Defect Grading & Guidelines.
• Experience with CAT/GENIE and Sonar tracing equipment to identify buried services and to trace/locate & map drainage systems.
• Reinstatement of domestic surface types (e.g., paving slabs, block paving).
• Finding and repairing leaks on external water supply pipes that deliver water from water mains underneath the road to the property.
• Outstanding customer care and proven problem-solving skills.
• Full driving licence.
• Trained Engineers & Certificated are an advantage but not essential.
• Technology understanding.
• All applicants will need to complete a DBS Check and Credit Check.
