Mailroom Operator

Compensation: £30,000 / year


Description
Are you someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys practical work, and is keen to develop new skills? We’re looking for a Mailroom Operator to join our team on a six-month fixed-term contract.

This is a great opportunity for someone adaptable, proactive, and ready to contribute to a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a range of mailroom equipment, including stackers, trimmers, binding lines, and pallet systems
  • Ensure efficient and accurate processing of mail and print materials
  • Contribute to a collaborative and productive team environment
  • Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and safety
  • Support with manual handling tasks – this is a practical, active role
  • Work flexible hours on a rotational shift basis, including nights and weekends as required

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Comfortable with the physical aspects of the role, including regular lifting, bending, and standing
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new equipment and processes – full training provided
  • A collaborative team member with strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Flexibility with working hours and duties – the role offers variety and pace
  • Previous experience in a similar environment is helpful, but not essential
A forklift licence would be beneficial, though not required.
