Job summary

Royal Mail, Normanton Mail Centre, is seeking a part-time Mail Sorter to support a 22-hour week across Monday, Saturday and Sunday night shifts (22:00–06:00). You’ll handle sorting, loading and moving mail in a high-volume warehouse, contributing to the nationwide delivery network.

The role offers a guaranteed hourly rate of £13.68, with 22.5 days holiday pro-rata, a contributory pension, uniform provided after 3 months, and opportunities for career development within Royal Mail.

It’s a shift like no other centre you will cover various indoor roles in a warehouse environment. On your feet and keeping up the pace. Changing from one task to another along the sorting chain, you could be unloading mail from vans, moving it around in trolleys, sorting parcels and letters manually or operating machinery. A mail centre can process over a million items in a shift and you’ll be a valuable part of making that happen. And you take it in your stride. For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.
