Royal Mail Aberdeen Mail Centre is recruiting a Mail Sorter for a fixed-term contract of 12 months. The role involves standing in a busy warehouse, sorting mail by hand or with machinery, and helping keep the sorting chain flowing.

Shifts cover Saturdays and Sundays, with hours spanning SAT-15:15 and SUN-07:00, as well as SAT-19:30 and SUN-14:00. The position offers a competitive hourly rate and benefits.

It’s a shift like no other centre you will cover various indoor roles in a warehouse environment. On your feet and keeping up the pace. Changing from one task to another along the sorting chain, you could be unloading mail from vans, moving it around in trolleys, sorting parcels and letters manually or operating machinery. A mail centre can process over a million items in a shift and you’ll be a valuable part of making that happen. And you take it in your stride. Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Mail Sorter, you’re expected to handle election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
