MAGNA Product & Technical Sales Manager

Location:

NI based

Reporting to:

MAGNA Business Line Director

Terex has a prominent position globally in providing compact and mid-sized materials processing equipment. MAGNA, launched in 2024, will serve customers requiring higher capacity machines for larger output and volumes.

As the MAGNA Product & Technical Sales Manager, you will act as a vital link between dealers, customers, and internal teams to shape our products and support channels.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to influence MAGNA’s product portfolio in the Large Scale materials processing industry. You will identify emerging customer needs, collaborate on new product design, and improve existing models, ensuring solutions exceed expectations and deliver long-term value.

Your efforts will help grow MAGNA’s position as a global industry leader, delivering next-generation crushing and screening solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Identify and prioritize new products via the NPI process.
  2. Coordinate product management activities within the NPPD process with the NPPD Coordinator.
  3. Gather market regulation and material specifications to ensure compliance.
  4. Build strong relationships with end-users and dealers through regular visits and feedback collection.
  5. Research and create specifications for new products, conducting surveys via dealers and customers.
  6. Assess profitability and market potential for new products, including volume projections, cost analysis, and engagement with sales, engineering, operations, and finance teams.
  7. Recommend technical solutions and machine performance specifications to customers, utilizing software tools like Aggflow and Visual layouts.
  8. Develop and deliver training materials and sales tools for dealers and customers, including competitive comparisons.
  9. Collaborate with third-party suppliers to incorporate products and services into the MAGNA portfolio.
  10. Provide feedback on existing products and suggest improvements, conveying information to engineering and marketing teams for R&D.
  11. Participate in trade shows, dealer conferences, and marketing activities.

Education & Experience Required

  • Proven success in managing and launching products, preferably in related industries.
  • Extensive experience in the mobile crushing or screening industry.
  • Experience with product design processes.
  • Customer-facing experience.
  • Experience in e-commerce or social media.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking and product vision development.
  • Understanding of the crushing and screening industry and equipment performance.
  • Ability to prioritize features and make strategic decisions.
  • Teamwork and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Problem-solving capabilities, including root cause analysis.
  • Risk assessment skills for technical and commercial aspects.
  • Market research, customer interviewing, and competitor analysis skills.
  • Adaptability and agility in approach.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (~30%).
