Madeleine Milburn Ltd is looking for an energetic, creative, and highly-motivated Associate Rights Agent. This crucial role is best suited for someone with at least two years' office and/or industry experience and a desire to progress within international rights at the agency. They should also have a proven track record of administrative excellence, be a voracious reader, and have a keen interest in the international book market. Languages are beneficial but not essential.
As part of an ambitious team your role will demand a sense of urgency coupled with an aptitude for calm, an articulate phone and writing style, a desire to learn and to initiate, and outstanding organisational and time management skills.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): assisting with international rights for adult and children’s fiction and non-fiction; creating agency marketing material; scheduling and attending book fairs; royalty and contract processing; website and database management; responsibility for agency media in relation to international rights; working with co-agents and publishers in select territories; handling international publicity for authors; and general office duties.

We pride ourselves on investing in our staff, and are offering a salary of £24K-£27K, based on experience.
