Macular Administration Clerk

We have an exciting operational opportunity within the Planned Care Directorate team in the Ophthalmology Team for Permanent Band 3 Macular Administration Clerk.

We have a full time vacancy for a clerical officer to support the macular/diabetic/medical retinal booking and scheduling team and support reception cover for macular treatment outpatient services.

Main duties of the job

We wish to appoint an experienced and organised individual, with good IT skills who is able to demonstrate their ability to follow instructions correctly but also to work independently when required.

You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be comfortable liaising with people at all levels. The role is public facing and office based so you must enjoy interacting with our patients, greeting them, and helping them with any queries.

You must have a good telephone manner as the role also involves contact with patients on the phone. You will have good all round administration skills, good basic numeracy and literacy skills, organisational / prioritisation skills, attention to detail and a willingness to be trained.

You must be flexible for cross-site working demanding on service needs on the day.
