We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Operator with expertise in manual grinding. As a crucial member of our team, you will play a vital role in the process of repairing and servicing aerospace components.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate and oversee manual grinding machines to repair and overhaul aerospace components.
2. Perform precise grinding operations to achieve specific dimensional requirements.
3. Expertly handle various tools and equipment related to manual grinding, similar to those used by a toolmaker.
4. Read and interpret technical drawings and other specifications.
5. Conduct quality checks to ensure the accuracy and quality of the finished product.
6. Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
7. Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other team members to ensure efficient operations and timely completion of tasks.
8. Provide suggestions for improving processes and optimising workflow.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Machine Operator, specifically skilled in manual grinding operations.
2. Proficient in operating and maintaining manual grinding machines or similar equipment.
3. Knowledge of grinding techniques, tools, and measurements, similar to that of a toolmaker.
4. Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
5. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
6. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work in a team environment.
9. Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.
10. Prior experience in the aerospace industry is preferred but not essential.
