Job description

With almost 100 years as a Caterpillar Dealer, William Adams has proudly made its mark. Together with Caterpillar, we've been there for customers - selling and servicing the best equipment in the world - on land, at sea, in construction, mining and industry.

We are currently looking for an experienced Machinist to join our busy workshop in Dandenong on a 5 x 2 (Monday - Friday) roster.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Workshop Team Leader, you will be responsible for machining engine components on a range of heavy diesel engine components of all makes and models.

Daily responsibilities will include the following :

  • Attend and contribute to Morning CATS Meeting (pre-start) daily.
  • Carrying out machining processes on cylinder blocks, cylinder heads, crankshafts, connecting rods and hydraulic cycling machining of earthmoving, construction, mining, power generation, marine and agricultural engines, as well as general machining tasks.
  • Report stock levels of consumables to assist in planning for future works.
  • Maintain machinery and equipment & record within William Adams systems.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork & reports relating to works completed.
  • Ensure all tooling is in good condition and fit to the task being performed.
