Fletcher Moorland Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled mechanical technician to carry out inspection, evaluation, repair and reclamation work on machined components, working with the Workshop Manager to stay cost-efficient.

Requirements include experience in repair, ability to read drawings, and familiarity with lathes, milling and boring machines. The role offers daytime or rotating shifts with overtime opportunities.

Responsabilités

• Inspection of machined components
• Reclamation of worn parts either by back engineering or working from a drawing
• Turning, milling, drilling and slotting
• Metal spraying
• Dynamic balancing
• Welding
• Documentation of findings, work required, spare parts, materials and labour
• Make maximum effective use of equipment ensuring that it is maintained in good working order
• Employ good housekeeping practices to increase efficiency and avoid accidents
• Communicating with all staff and required suppliers & customers

Main function of job

You will be required to work on your own initiative carrying out inspection, evaluation, repair and reclamation work.
Working closely with the Workshop Manager to ensure that all working activities are carried out in a cost effective, efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.

• Inspection of machined components
• Reclamation of worn parts either by back engineering or working from a drawing
• Turning, milling, drilling and slotting
• Metal spraying
• Dynamic balancing
• Welding
• Documentation of findings, work required, spare parts, materials and labour
• Make maximum effective use of equipment ensuring that it is maintained in good working order
• Employ good housekeeping practices to increase efficiency and avoid accidents
• Communicating with all members of staff and as and where required suppliers & customers

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Qualifications by experience

• City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering
• Background in diagnosis, fault finding and repair
