Job description

Conduct varied Machining tasks across a range of products, machinery, and materials, within the scope of your approvals and responsibilities.

Maintain positive and collaborative working relations with your team and your wider stakeholder group.

Responsible for the work you produce, taking the appropriate actions and decisions in order to deliver all your targets to the expected standards and tolerances in a safe and quality focused manner, adhering to relevant instructions, drawing and other specifications.

Deploy your skills to the very best of your ability in aid of delivering the highest standard of product possible.

Responsible for the use and care of tools, consumables, and equipment, including using checks to ensure they are fit for purpose.

Problem solves using various techniques, dealing promptly and effectively with problems within your control and reporting those that cannot be solved in a timely manner to the appropriate person.

Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Completed a 'time served' full Engineering Modern apprenticeship which has been formally certified by a national Awarding Organisation and Professionally qualified.
  • Has considerable work experience in a range of technical processes or procedures (or deep skills in a single area) through job-related training.
  • Previous experience in setting & operating CNC metal cutting machinery to produce tolerance manufactured components.
  • Ability to set and maintain CNC machine cutting tools.
  • Able to use measuring equipment for self-verification of work, Micrometres.
Desirable
  • Ability to edit CNC programs with minor changes (speeds, feeds etc.).
  • Previous experience working with Titanium & Titanium Castings.
