Job summary

Fusion People Ltd in Birkenhead is recruiting an experienced Machinist for a temp-to-perm role. The position involves operating both lathe and milling machines, producing components to engineering drawings, and maintaining safe working conditions.

You will liaise with the methods team and carry out duties as required, using gauges to measure shop-floor parts. Training and progression opportunities are available.

Job Title: Machinist
Location: Birkenhead, Wirral
Duration: 3-6 months plus ( temp to perm)
Shifts: Day shift (Mon to Thurs 7.30am- 4pm, Friday 7.30am -12.30pm)
Pay Rate: Umbrella Basic -Training rate £21.07, increasing to £23.46 after training complete( Umbrella can only be paid whilst temping)

PAYE Basic - Training rate £16.22 increasing to £18.03 after training complete

Our engineering client, based in Birkenhead is recruiting for an experienced Machinist, to start asap. This will be on a temp to perm basis for the right candidate.

Main Duties:

• Operating both lathe and milling machines.
• Manufacturing and modifying components in line with technical drawings, work instructions, and engineering documentation.
• Maintaining a safe and organised work area in line with standards.
• Liaising with the methods team and carrying out duties for them.
• Measuring equipment for shop floor using various gauges etc.
