A well-established training provider in Southampton is seeking a Machining Instructor to teach and mentor young learners in achieving L3 qualifications. Candidates should have at least 4 years of machining experience and be self-motivated team players. A teaching qualification is desirable, and training will be provided for those eager to transition into a training role.

We are currently seeking an engineering professional to deliver and coordinate the successful completion of qualifications, for a well-established training provider.

The Machining Instructor role will require you to be involved in teaching, coaching and mentoring young learners undertaking L3 qualifications. You will be a time served engineer with Machining experience (CNC, turning, drilling & Milling) and hold a level 3 or above in engineering.

Ideally you will have experience delivering training and will possess a teaching qualification (PTLLS or above). If you do not hold this qualifications but have a genuine desire to move into a training role, enjoy working in a learning environment and hold sound experience in the engineering sector, my client would like to hear from you. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

THE ROLE OF MACHINING INSTRUCTOR:

To deliver and coordinate the successful completion of all aspects of qualifications delivered at a high-tech training facility (classroom-based delivery). Training learners in the centre towards agreed qualifications in line with relevant awarding body standards.

We are looking for applicants that are self-motivated, a team player and have a 'hands on approach' to work within this rewarding environment.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: MACHINING INSTRUCTOR

  • Minimum 4 years' relevant occupational experience within machining (milling / turning / CNC)
