Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Junior Field Service Engineer for machine tools in the UK. You will diagnose and rectify machine issues, train customers on operation and safety, and perform routine servicing.

The role offers extensive OEM training and a comprehensive package including a company car and private healthcare. Based in the Buckinghamshire/Bedfordshire M1 Corridor, the successful candidate will join a global OEM with a clear pathway to technical leadership and career

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification (HNC or Degree) required.
• Field experience in machine tools would be an advantage, or an apprentice-trained engineer.
• Hands-on, mechanically competent with an understanding of electrical/hydraulic and mechanical drawings and systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and rectify machine problems and breakdowns.
• Train customers in operation, maintenance, and safety aspects.
• Routine service of machines and associated equipment.
• Promote consumable sales and maintenance contracts.
• Promote sales of machine tools and associated equipment.
