Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Junior Field Service Engineer (Machine Tools) to join a global OEM with comprehensive hands-on training in the Buckinghamshire/Bedfordshire corridor. You will diagnose machine issues, train customers, and service equipment as you develop technical leadership on its tooling systems.

You should have an engineering qualification (HNC or degree) and hands-on/mechanical aptitude, with an interest in electrical/hydraulic drawings.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification such as HNC or degree.
• Hands-on, mechanically competent with electrical/hydraulic understanding.
• Experience in field service or machine tools desirable.
• Will be enrolled in OEM training to develop as a field service specialist.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and rectify machine problems and breakdowns.
• Train customers in operation, maintenance, and safety aspects.
• Routine service of machines and associated equipment.
• Promote consumable sales and maintenance contracts; promote tools and equipment.
