Job summary

Moog Inc. in Tewkesbury is seeking a Machine Tool Technician to deliver preventative maintenance and repair of complex CNC machine tools across a site with 150 test systems.

You will join a high‑performance maintenance team, focusing on precision, reliability, and timely response to production needs. Working onsite with a 2‑week rotating AM/PM shift pattern, you will manage parts, calibrations, safety protocols, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • A vocational qualification in engineering and 5+ years’ experience in hydraulic, mechanical, mechatronic, and CNC machine maintenance roles.
  • Proven experience working with and diagnosing faults on Mazak, Star, Okuma, or similar CNC machine tools.
  • Familiarity with electronic circuits, CNC controls, machine tool diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of robotics systems (advantageous).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with Indysoft, Teamcenter, and PIRANA is a plus.
  • A proactive, trustworthy approach with high personal standards and a commitment to team success.

Responsibilities

Machine Tool Technician

Reporting To

Work Schedule & Shift Pattern

Onsite – Tewkesbury, GBR

Shift Pattern: 2-Week Rotating AM/PM

AM: Mon–Thurs 6:00am–2:15pm ; Fri 6:15am–11:45am

PM: Mon–Tues 2:00pm–9:15pm; Wed–Thurs 2:00pm–9:30pm; Fri 11:30am–7:30pm

Responsibilities
  • Delivering preventative maintenance and repair support for machine tool equipment, with backup support for test systems
  • Ensuring all repairs meet internal and external audit standards, leaving equipment calibrated and production‑ready
  • Managing parts procurement and inventory to enable timely, cost‑effective maintenance
