Job Description

Field Service Engineer – CNC Machine Tools
Location: Yorkshire
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 + company vehicle
Employment: Permanent, Full-time

An established CNC machine tool distributor is growing its UK service team and is looking to appoint an experienced Field Service Engineer to support its customer base across Yorkshire. This is a field-based position, ideal for someone with strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills, who is comfortable working independently and providing a high standard of service on a range of CNC machines.

The Role:
  1. Carrying out planned maintenance and servicing of CNC machine tools in line with company standards
  2. Diagnosing faults and completing repairs on site at customer premises
  3. Building and maintaining strong customer relationships across a range of manufacturing sectors
  4. Providing technical support to customers and internal staff as required
  5. Keeping up to date with machine developments and attending training when new control systems are introduced
What We're Looking For:
  1. Based in Yorkshire, with the flexibility to travel throughout the region
  2. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a maintenance or service role (post-apprenticeship)
  3. Engineering HNC and Modern Apprenticeship (or equivalent experience)
  4. Mechanical and electrical fitting skills
  5. Familiarity with one or more of the following CNC control systems: Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain
  6. Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  7. Competent using PC, mobile and email systems
The Package:
  1. Salary between £40,000 – £50,000 depending on experience
