• Actively interpret technical drawings, program, set up and operate CNC machinery accordingly.
• Supervise machines and team during operation, making real-time adjustments for enhanced results.
• Report and document any discrepancies in operations, including maintenance faults.
• Oversee process changes within the team and department.
• Attend meetings for production / contract updates as required.
• Write CNC milling programs for all machines as required (Fanuc, Edgecam / Cadcam).
• Set up and develop new and existing products on machine centres.
• Assist and advise in the design of jigs and fixtures.
• Maintain and control a current program register and tool inventory.
• Create SOPs, setup sheets and other documents to aid in production.
• Provide general supervision of the Machine Shop.
• Support, coach, mentor, train and develop team members, highlighting training gaps.
• Ensure the team works efficiently, effectively, and is on target to deliver.
• Ensure production schedules are met and set clear objectives.
• Drive improvements in efficiencies.

ABOUT YOU

• Recent and relevant Machine Shop Team Leading / Supervisory experience.
• Experience with precision measurement instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong math skills for measurements and calculations.
• A flexible approach to adapt to changing and challenging requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
• Ability to remain focused on Quality and emphasize its importance to others.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to generate innovative ideas.
