Location: Wrexham

Salary: Up to £42,000 + Bonus + Overtime Opportunities

Are you a skilled machinist with leadership experience looking for the next step in your career? A well-established industrial manufacturing company in Wrexham is seeking a Machine Shop Supervisor / Engineering Foreman to lead its precision engineering team.

This is a hands-on leadership role—perfect for a time-served machinist who wants to step into management while staying involved in technical work. You'll oversee production planning, machine maintenance, and team leadership while ensuring top-quality output.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  1. Machining Expertise – Guide and support machinists in operating manual lathes, mills, and grinders for precision low-volume production.
  2. Production Oversight – Plan schedules, manage capacity, and optimise machine loading to meet customer demands.
  3. Team Leadership – Motivate, mentor, and manage a small team of skilled machinists, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
  4. Process Improvement – Collaborate with design engineers, sales, and production teams to drive efficiency and quality.
  5. Machine Maintenance & Tooling – Ensure smooth operations by managing maintenance schedules and tooling requirements.
What We’re Looking For:
  1. Time-served machining experience (manual & CNC) with a strong grasp of engineering drawings.
  2. Expertise in precision machining, mould work, and rubber/polyurethane manufacturing.
  3. Supervisory or leadership experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  4. Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across departments and manage production schedules.
