Responsibilities
- Supervise, direct and motivate shop personnel
- Ensure most efficient production process are utilised
- Recognize and troubleshoot problems in various production processes to maintain the highest quality and delivery standards
- Coordinate shop activities with engineering manager and other supervisors
- Develop staff through training, communication of rules, policies and procedures
- Motivate and build morale
- Ensure availability of material and tooling
- Work with customers, vendors and employees to resolve problems
- Participate in management meetings as requested
- All candidates must be dependable, professional, and flexible and have a positive attitude and a solid work history

Knowledge, Skills, Experience
- Mechanical aptitude
- Time served machinist
- Must be able to programme various CNC systems ( Fanuc and Heidenhein )
- Prior experience in inspection of parts
- Strong problem solving skills
- Team player
- Management/supervisory skills
- Self Motivated
- Handle multiple tasks with tight deadlines
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and models
- Inspect and troubleshoot tools and fixtures
- Knowledge of various processes such as machining, welding, fabricating and assembly is desirable
- Ability to use various office software (MS Word, Excel)
