Overview

Machine Shop Supervisor

Machine Shop Supervisor required to manage a small team of Machinists, ensuring the timely delivery and quality of precision parts. You will have excellent knowledge of CNC milling and turning with the ability to manage a team, ensure workflow and allocate work effectively. We are happy to consider candidates working at this level already or someone looking for the next step in their career.

Your role as CNC Machine Shop Supervisor will include:

  • Production Planning and coordination of production schedules, job allocation and workflow management
  • Ensuring and optimising production process, troubleshooting problems and implementing improvements
  • Working with the QMS and ensuring standards and conduct regular quality inspections
  • People management including training, development and motivation and performance management
  • Maintaining discipline, managing attendance, holidays, and shift schedules
  • Ensuring machine maintenance, availability of material and tooling
  • Liaising with customers and internal team to resolve problems
  • Ensure Health and Safety in your department
  • Identify and implement opportunities to enhance efficiency and streamline operations
  • Check machinery functionality and report issues to maintenance promptly
