Delve Search - Global Search Consultants is seeking a Manufacturing Manager for a Leicester-based CNC machinery operation. You will lead a skilled machine shop, drive continuous improvement, and align production with strategic targets.

The role emphasizes lean manufacturing, CAPEX projects, safety, and mentoring a team of 25+ staff to improve quality, delivery, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience managing a machine shop or precision engineering environment.
• Knowledge of CNC machining, grinding, materials, and modern manufacturing processes.
• Proven track record in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen initiatives.
• Confident communicator able to lead a team of 25+ staff.
• Degree, HNC, or HND in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the machine shop team to deliver on-time, high-quality components.
• Implement modern manufacturing processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage CNC machining and grinding operations, ensuring best practice across all production areas.
• Monitor and improve KPIs for quality, delivery, and cost.
