Job Title: Machine Shop Manager

Position Overview

As the Machine Shop Manager, you will oversee operations across two revitalized precision engineering businesses, ensuring production efficiency, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will split your time between both locations, playing a key role in their redevelopment and expansion.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the machine shops, including planning, organizing, and directing production activities.
• Assist in implementing the new ERP system.
• Supervise and mentor machinists and technicians, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Ensure products meet engineering specifications and quality standards.
• Develop and optimize production schedules and resource allocation.
• Monitor equipment performance and plan maintenance to maximize efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering to refine manufacturing processes.
• Drive initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Enforce safety protocols and promote workplace safety culture.
• Manage the budget and ensure cost-effective operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications
