Overview

Rotating shifts – AM and PM. AM: 0600 to 1400 Mon-Thursday, 0600 to 1330 Friday. PM: 1300 to 2100 Mon-Thursday, 1000 to 1730 Friday.

Independent Forgings and Alloys Ltd (IFA) are continuing to invest and grow, and we are looking to add to our Machine Shop department. We are now looking for an experienced Machine Shop Labourer. Over the last few years, we have invested in the business and have successfully doubled our turnover. We are looking to continue this growth and are looking for the right people to help us join our team.

Main Purpose of the Role

As our Machine Shop Labourer, you’ll dispose of machine shop waste, turnings, general rubbish and waste oils (housekeeping) and pack and transport finished machined parts.

You’ll segregate, weigh and log valuable scrap turnings and check job and cast numbers match input WRCs. You’ll select the correct donor ring for tests and locate and transport input forgings to the Machine shop. Assisting the machinists as required, you’ll load and unload lorries and assist with any other duties as reasonably deemed necessary.

Your background should include
  • Forklift truck license.
  • O/H crane and slinging.
  • MEWP license.
