Machine Shop Labourer | Sheffield | Full Time | Salary depending on experience

Our client is the UK’s leading forge master in the oil & gas industry and has recently acquired accreditations for the Nuclear and Aerospace industries. With 40 years’ experience in forging, they are specialists in creating bespoke products using open die methods.

They are looking for a skilled Machine Shop Labourer to join their team in Sheffield.

Please note- The role requires alternating between two shifts on a weekly basis. One week, you'll work the morning shift from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday to Friday. The following week, you'll work the night shift from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Monday to Thursday.

• Able to drive a selection of forklift trucks in a busy factory environment
• Ability to use overhead cranes and have good manual handling skills
• Good communication skills

What will your role look like?

• Responsibility for the removal of all swarf from a selection of machinery to include turret lathes, milling machines and vertical borers
• Remove swarf to assigned skips in designated area
• Keep machine shop area clean & tidy
• To find and supply to machinist’s items required for machining when requested
• To remove finished machined items to requested area
