  • Perform quality checks and inspections on finished goods.
  • Accurately record production data, including parts, rejects, and weights.

Job description

We are currently recruiting Machine Operators to join a well-established plastics manufacturing company in Blackburn. This is a great opportunity to build a long-term career in production within a supportive and growing organisation.

Pay Rate: £12.69 per hour
Hours of Work: Continental Shift Pattern – 12-hour shifts (6am–6pm / 6pm–6am)

  • Week 1: Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun (60 hours)
  • Week 2: Wed, Thu (24 hours)
  • Rotating: 2 weeks days / 2 weeks nights
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate blow and injection moulding machinery for the production of plastic products.

  • Perform quality checks and inspections on finished goods.

  • Accurately record production data, including parts, rejects, and weights.

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety procedures.

  • Ensure good housekeeping standards and smooth handovers between shifts.

What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or machine operating is an advantage, but full training will be provided.

  • Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures and best practices.

  • Familiarity with using PPE.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
