Job summary

Staffline is recruiting for Machine Operators in Alconbury Weald. You'll operate and monitor production machinery, learning to set up and improve performance while upholding safety and quality standards.

Training is provided with career development opportunities. The role follows a 4 days on, 4 days off shift pattern from 07:00 to 19:30 with transport options from Peterborough. An on-site support network is available and PPE is supplied.

Qualifications

• Previous Machine Operator experience is advantageous, training provided.
• Candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Operating production machinery safely and efficiently.
• Setting and adjusting machinery to achieve best performance.
• Monitoring machine speeds, production targets and hourly performance.
• Identifying machine issues and using problem-solving skills to reduce downtime.
• Supporting fast and efficient changeovers.
• Ensuring machinery is kept clean, safe and fit for use.
• Following production procedures, food safety and quality standards.
• Working closely with Line Leaders to achieve daily plans and KPIs.
• Identifying and reporting hazards, near misses and unsafe conditions.
• Supporting and training trainee or junior Machine Operators as experience develops.
• Taking ownership of your machine and contributing ideas for continuous improvement.
