Multihead Weigher

Job description

This position is responsible for operating a salad packing line with a multihead weigher and VFFS sealer.


This consists of an infeed conveyor for raw product which is then automatically weighted on the multihead weigher and then sealed into 200g, 500g bags. This then feeds onto an outfeed conveyor where it is packed into boxes ready for despatch.


The salad is baby leaf salad grown in our own glasshouses in Warwickshire.


You will be responsible for managing and leading a team of 3 other operatives, ensuring the machine runs at its optimum level whilst making sure we only pack the best quality produce.


Experience in the fresh produce industry is not necessary, but it would be helpful. Experience working with machinery is essential, along with good people skills.


Normal working days will be Monday-Saturday, with a start time of 6am.


Our intention is to fulfil this vacancy as quickly as possible so that training can take place over the next few weeks.


The ability to speak, understand and read English is essential.
