Job summary

Advanced Engineering is seeking a motivated Machine Operative to join our production team in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on setting up and operating slitting, punch and micro-perforation machinery to produce high-quality products to precise customer specs.

You will work on a 3-shift rotation (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am) Monday to Friday, handling pre-operational checks, maintaining safe work areas, and recording production data to meet targets and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate slitting, punch, and micro-perforation machines to customer specifications.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards and safe working areas.
• Perform pre-operational inspections and report faults.
• Follow quality procedures to meet specifications at each stage.
• Monitor print position, lengths, material quality; report defects.
• Cut cores accurately and minimise waste.
• Record production data and achieve targets and quality standards.
• Weigh, label, load and unload finished products using safe handling.
• Carry out routine preventative maintenance on machinery.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policies and PPE.
• Ensure compliance with BRC, FSC and company procedures.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain positive team environment.
• Report health and safety concerns, near misses, incidents; support investigations.
• Undertake other duties as required by Supervisor.
