Job description

A leading food manufacturer is looking for a Machine Operators / Production Operatives to work on the premises of its modern, automated, and clean site in the centre of Gloucester.

PAY: starting at £16.01 flat rate on 4 on 4 off pattern raising to up to £19.58 depending on the role, skills and experience.

HOURS: Mix of 12 hrs days and nights shifts on a pattern, however you must be fully flexible.

Responsibilities:

• Use appropriate material handling equipment to move product and materials from and to designated locations to support bulk activities in an efficient and safe manner.
• Running machinery/equipment to meet targets.
• Quality checking the product.
• Collecting data from the line and recording it accurately.
• Ensuring the production area meets strict hygiene standards.
• Packaging the product.
• Conducting and adhering to cleaning and allergen control regimes.
• Adhering to all policies and procedures relating to product age and quality.

Person Specification:

• National school leaver qualifications in Reading and Comprehension, Writing and Mathematics.

The ideal candidate for this role will have some experience in a Manufacturing/Production role, preferably within the food industry; however, training will be given.

• Applicant must be a committed team worker with a strong sense of responsibility and good attention to detail.
• IT Skills - Must be competent in the use of basic software.
