Job Purpose:
Operate and maintain the cyclotrons and associated systems.
Support scientific staff with routine laboratory tasks.
Assist the clinical and pre-clinical team during daily activities.
Principal Accountabilities:
The key responsibilities of this role are to:
Routinely operate and maintain the two cyclotrons and associated systems during day and night shifts.
Maintain the Energy Centre, Workshop, and Cyclotron laboratories.
Manage raw materials throughout their lifecycle on the London site.
Participate in various lab support activities.
Specific Activities:
Initialize and operate cyclotrons daily.
Support the cyclotron RNDS sanitisation regime.
Diagnose faults on cyclotrons.
Operate the ACS system.
Ensure the Energy Centre Gas storage area is maintained and stocked.
Maintain accurate records of environmental data and equipment condition, and support documentation control in the cyclotron vault area.
Support the operation of radioactive material delivery to external customers.
Perform maintenance and repairs as needed.
Manage raw materials, including ordering, receipt, QC testing, disposal, and documentation for release and archiving.
Participate in laboratory support activities such as glassware cleaning, waste management, liquid nitrogen delivery, equipment checks, and PPE inventory management.
Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.
Skills/Experience:
Minimum of a degree (or equivalent) in electronics, mechanical engineering, or related technology.
Good understanding of GMP; prior experience in a GMP environment is desirable.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Internet, and email applications.
