Job summary

Ganymede Solutions Limited in Desford, Leicestershire, is seeking a Machine / Production Operative on a 6 Month rolling contract. The role involves operating automated production machinery in a brand-new facility, performing quality checks and maintaining safety standards across rotating day and night shifts.

You should have prior experience with machine operation in manufacturing, a good mechanical aptitude, and a proactive approach to meet production targets while keeping quality high.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating machinery within a manufacturing or production environment is essential.
• Experience working with automated production equipment is highly desirable.
• Good mechanical aptitude and confidence making basic machine adjustments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.
• A proactive, reliable approach with the ability to work as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work a rotating 4 on / 4 off days and nights shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and adjust automated production machinery, including extruders and de-hackers.
• Ensure machines are running efficiently and safely throughout the shift.
• Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet specification.
• Identify and report machine faults, defects or production issues.
• Complete production records and basic system updates.
• Work to production targets while maintaining high quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and follow all Health & Safety procedures.
