Job summary

Ganymede Solutions is seeking two Machine / Production Operatives for a brand-new facility in Desford, Leicestershire. You will operate automated machinery in the cutting and palletising area, ensuring efficient production and stringent quality control.

The role requires experience with manufacturing machinery; a proactive, detail-focused mindset and the ability to work as part of a team. Rota: 4 on/4 off days and nights.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating machinery within a manufacturing or production environment is essential.
• Experience working with automated production equipment is highly desirable.
• Good mechanical aptitude and confidence making basic machine adjustments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.
• A proactive, reliable approach with the ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and adjust automated production machinery, including extruders and de-hackers.
• Ensure machines are running efficiently and safely throughout the shift.
• Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet specification.
• Identify and report machine faults, defects or production issues.
• Complete production records and basic system updates.
• Work to production targets while maintaining high quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and follow all Health & Safety procedures.
