Job summary

Escape in Carnwath, Scotland, is recruiting a Machine Operator / Trainee Brake Press Operator to join our production team. This permanent, on-site role offers training to develop CNC hydraulic press brake operation skills from drawing interpretation to tool selection and quality checks.

No prior brake press experience is required; candidates with general machine-operating experience in metal fabrication are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Previous press brake or brake press operating experience.
• Good machine operating experience in metal fabrication/engineering environments.
• Willingness to learn new skills and work safely in a production team.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC hydraulic press brake machinery.
• Work from engineering drawings and production information.
• Select tooling and bending methods.
• Produce accurate folded metal components.
• Check finished components using measuring equipment.
• Make machine adjustments to achieve required dimensions and quality.
• Carry out basic machine checks and work safely in a busy fabrication environment.
